Question for people in England

This is a bit of a strange question but I'm wondering if anyone from England might be able to tell me roughly how much a PAL format VCR (low-end is fine) would cost over there? I've got a bunch of videos in PAL format that I can't play over here, and I just found out it's going to be pretty expensive to convert them all, so I thought it might be cheaper to buy a VCR 
If anyone knows that'd be great!

Hiya,
My boyfriend says that it would be about £30-40, maybe less for a player. For a recorder, he says it would be more. I think we are going shopping today, so if we pass by any electronic stores or whatever, I will take a quick look for you and see what I can find.
