So I was pitying myself because I got an A minus on a paper today (I know, I know, but I'm a grad student. With grade inflation that's like getting a C!). But then I talked to the person who runs the writing camp I've taught playwriting for for the past three years. I told her I couldn't afford to come teach (in Louisville) unless I could teach both the afternoon and the morning session. Well she said I could teach Feature Writing in the afternoon! So now I can work (doing something I like) for three weeks and make enough money to pay for tuition next fall instead of having to work at Starbucks all summer!

Yay!!! Just wanted to share my good news.

That's great news, Jenny! It's so much nicer doing something you enjoy doing. Congrats!

And I hear you about the A minus... I'm a type A student so I get down about anything less than an A too.

That's fantastic! It's so great to be able to get paid for doing something you actually like!

I'm sure Starbucks will be disappointed though.
