Hi, Sharron. Welcome to the boards. I can only speak for myself, but I sure am tired all of the time, too. In fact, they diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but I'm not convinced! I think it's the IBS kicking my butt.
As for the grumpy--- thanks for mentioning that. It reminded me to take my Lexapro. That's an antidepressant that's supposed to keep me from sleeping all day and may help with the IBS, too. All I know is, I don't bite people's heads off quite so much now!
I just talked to a guy the other day who had a sharp pain under his ribs. Not all the time, but definitely during a flare-up. Mine is always much lower. (In fact my original "diagnosis" was ovarian cysts!)
Anyway, welcome. You should find lots of company and information here! Have you picked up Heather's books yet? If not, run -do not walk!- to the bookstore or order them from the site! Shop for IBS We'll all vouch for them-- Heather's been a godsend to most of us!

Welcome to the boards, Sharron! I also get a pain under my ribs when I'm constipated, so I know exactly what you mean. You'll find tons of great suggestions here that should help you out, though. I'll see you around!

You came to the right place. Curious -- how did you find us?
Your symptoms are interesting; they're not at all like mine, though, so I don't know if I can be of much help to you. However, there are a lot of great folks here who will be able to help you.
Again, welcome to the Boards! Bev

I'm new to the boards, too. My pain varies, but is frequently under my rib cage, up high; it's very annoying and bothersome. Boy, that grumpy word sure rings a bell! I wish I was on something that would make me nicer, but I'm not. I just have to put up with me! haha Nice to meet you, Terri

Hey and welcome! Ty Breaking the Cycle. It's in the left column of the Eating For IBS boards. Once you become stable, the pain should pretty much go away and you'll be able to experiment some with what foods you can eat and so on. It's helped me a lot to experiment with foods! Some people (like me) have very mild IBS and it really only kicks in with certain foods. Others have pretty bad IBS and they have to stay on a pretty strict diet. If you keep experimenting, you'll find that you don't react to osme foods that others do. It helps you expand your food varieties greatly! Hope this helps, and if you ever wanna talk, feel free to email me!
