That was so wierd reading your post!! That exact same thing just happened to me not too long ago. The house I grew up in, i'm 18 now but lived there till i was around 10, went up for auction and whoever bought it would have to pay for it to be moved. I think the government said something about it being historic or something, i forget now, and so they had an open house day. I was teetering on going back to look at it cause we had fixed it up so good when we lived there and then some idiots who rented didn't look after it at all. I thought it might be hard to see it in such bad condition and thought maybe memories are just better. Turned out i forgot about it the day of the open house but still wonder what it looks like. Was the BEST house ever and my mom said she would buy it back in a heart beat if we had the money to. Just read the post now and thought that neat to hear someone else had the same experience (minus actually going back to see their house).
