I went to the doctor back in March and was told I either have IBS or Gallbladder problems. I went and had test for gallbladder issues and all came back normal. The doctor told me to do a food diary and when doing this I found foods that I can not eat and thing got better and the doctor told me to just keep that up. Form that I assumed that I had IBS. Now I do not hav sever issus like I have read about. Though I have food I can no longer tolerate and if I do eat them the next day I make trip after trip to the bathroom until it passes. It is not normally diareha but every now and then I will have a small bit of it but normally unnormal moevement and quite frequent. I have started to take probiotics and in the last week digestive enzymes. I have days where things seem normal and days that morning I am in and out of the bathroom. So i guess my question is do I really have IBS even though I do not have diahrea all the time and I do not get contipated??? I have read alot of things on this site to help but frankley afraid to try some thing since I am not sure from the Docor that I have IBS. Help so I can get this resolved and do what needed to keep my stomach calm.

You will get more feedback if you post this on the diet board. The Living Room is more social in nature.
Did you have a endoscopy or colonoscopy in March or did your doc say "IBS" based on symptoms without any tests?

I have D all the time and do not get C (unless I take laaarge amounts of Imodium and do it to myself). I am IBS-D.
IBS-C is constipation IBS-A is alternating between D and C.
