Ouch. For me personally I would not be able to drink V8 right after a flare up. Besides it is a processed food.I am always so raw inside right after a flare up. Oatmeal, bananas and apples are always good to me when I am really raw and the next day I can usually do raw carrots. Baked yams are good when I am raw too. They are loaded with vitamins. Hope you feel better.

Hi there, I'm in accord. Don't drink it after a flare-up or if you aren't feeling well.

BUT.... I do drink a glass of low sodium V-8 once a day (at least) to get my veggies. (Unless of course I have recently had a flare)

I wouldn't contribute that to the processing of V8 it is not that processed, per se. But it does have a lot of acid in it and that can cause problems. Also, it's mostly IF in it as well. I like to eat it with some SF like applesauce or carrots first. Sometimes, I have been known to pour V8 over a cup of rice and eat it like that. It makes a great alternative to plain rice!
