I get 3 1/2 - 5 hours of sleep before my gurgling insides wake me up. I need to eat more veggies and am trying, but need help in the meantime.

How do I fit acacia, Caltrate, vitamins, acidolphus, Align, HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), metamucil, and a laxative into my life?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers

I wouldn't take caltrate..It makes my stomach feel crappy then throw up..the best way to get calcium is to cook egg shells..read this article! http://nourishedmagazine.com.au/blog/articles/how-to-make-calcium-using-egg-shells laxatives are a big no no. do the align. are u c or d. im d with no diarreah..just 10 trips to the bathroom a day.

Try adding 5 prunes a day to your diet before bed. They are a natural stool softener. I can't live without them. You may not notice results right away but I eat them every night before bed. Then,I have oatmeal every morning. After breakfast like clockwork! You may want to start with 3 and work your way up.

Thanks, Goldiloks - I may try the prunes. They were one of my Mom's preferred remedies when I was a kid.

Thanks for the suggestion and understanding. I'm job-hunting and the IBS is a real downer.

Your mom was right. Just remember they don't work right away. You have to eat them every day kind of like how we take vitamins. Good luck!!!
