I haven't been here for a while. So I know I've missed a lot of what is going on in here. I think of you all often, though. And I send you all happy thoughts!
Thankfully, mom is doing so much better now. As some of you know she had three major surgeries and complications that has taken place over the past 6 months. So I've been under alot of stress. Strange thing is that I did fairly well during her whole ordeal.
Now, however, that she is doing so much better, my stomach (IBS-D) is not playing fair at all. I just can't seem to get stable and I'm nervous about it ALL the time!
Any advice? {{{hugs}}}

Hey Nugget,
First HUGSSSS!!!!!
Second, did you ever try the hypnosis? when I have "relapses" I find that redoing the hypnosis helps me a lot. I will also do the "what to eat when you can't eat anything" for a couple days to get back on track.
I 'm happy to hear your mom is doing better, that must be a relief for you.
Hugss again!!

Thanks Toady! {{hugs to you, too!}}}
Yes, I tried the hypnosis CD a long time ago, but never finished. Then I was going to try it again, and just kept getting interrupted or didn't have time.
I'll try the "what to eat when you can't eat anything" and see how that goes.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
I would eat only soluble fiber foods for 2-3 days. This will allow the enteric nerves of your gut to settle down. After only eating soluble fiber foods for 2-3 days, start introducing the IF back along with safe protein. Be sure that you are not consuming any of the trigger foods.
I hope you feel better soon!

Your not alone. I haven't been doing good for a long time. I started getting better than things went downhill fast. I ate a piece of bread and 2 hours later i was in the bathroom, ugh !!! Having to keep heating pad on my tummy to help with the horrible pain and that's with taking bentyl. I have lost 10 more lbs so am fighting harder now to gain it back. I am 5'10" so I can't weigh to little or I look sickly. I weigh 160 now and 9 months ago I weighed 225.
