sorry for taking so long MRAE but I'm waiting for my GI to return from vacation. The way I understand it is that it's the condition of an individual's stool which is the result of a/the underlying condition. These underlying condition causes of steatorrhea include: Malabsorption (of fats), Pancreatitis, Celiac disease, Sprue.
This is of interest to me because while I can't say what my underlying problem is, I do seem to have Steatorrhea.

That's interesting as steattorhea can be caused by a lack of bile acids. This is the opposite of Habba's where a excess of bile causes problems.

Have you asked your doctor about Lotronex yet? My doctor just brought up the possibility of starting me on it since nothing else seems to be working.
