When I was on maternity leave, I couldn't imagine going back to work. But now I'm glad that I have. But only part time (4 days a week). It's nice to have conversations with adults about things other than milk or poo. My husband and I each have a day at home with her, and she goes to daycare the other three days. As much as it scared me initially, daycare is really good for our daughter; she learns things by watching the other kids that she just can't learn from us. So if you are stay at home, make sure you get that little boy interacting with other kids as much as you can! She's not at a center, but she's at a lady's home. there are three other kids there, so it's a nice small number. Rhiannon's been sleeping through the night since she was 9 weeks old! Nowadays she sleeps from 9pm until about 6:30am, which is when I wake her up. She'd sleep longer if I let her!
What sort of breastfeeding issues are you having? Supply related? There are things you can do to increase your supply, if that's the issue... Stick with it! Many women just give up when they have problems, so it's SOOOO great that you are giving him as much breastmilk as you can! It's going really well for us, and finally got enjoyable when she was almost 3 months old. Luckily, I'm actually producing way more than she needs, so we have quite a stockpile in our freezer.
I hear ya, being a mommy is the best thing that's ever happened to me! Enjoy your first Mother's Day this weekend!
