I've been laying low for several months, just trying to make small lifestyle adjustments. Learning more about diabetes type 2 and IBS combination. I still don't what I'm doing half the time.

I've had the stomach bug for two days. Which of course sets my tummy back into full blown IBS attack mode. So, with the grace of God I'm going to follow Heather's EFI diet and start feeling better soon!!! I know from experience EFI works..

Good to see you back!
You have a hard adjustment between IBS and Diabetes II...
Mine isn't as bad, but it's hard adjusting the IBS diet w/ these crazy food allergies/intollerances and problems with grains etc.
Good luck and God "will make a way" - even in the wilderness! I was at one of Don Moen's first concerts when he had just written that song...
Blessings & Prayers! Dorothy

Welcome back, Valerie! I only have IBS to deal with, but it's been really good for me to read how others are dealing with it. There are others here with IBS *and* Diabetes; I'm sure you'll hear from them, too

I, too, am a fan of Don Moen and love "God Can Make A Way" -
thank you for reminding me!

It is very hard when you have another issue to deal with other than your IBS, I have seizures (knock on wood haven't had one in close to 2 years) but it does make it harder. So I found myself praying all the time now : ) and yes GaGa you are so right God "will make a way" amen to that one. Take care and Bless be to all of you.

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with trying to keep my carbohydrates low, so not to increase my blood sugar. I'm thinking about making my own binder that includes safe foods for my IBS and diabetes combined. It'll take a while to compile all that info and of course "test" the recipes. I do okay knowing the basic foods, to figure out a baked treat or a prepared meal at a friends house gets sketchy for me. A working process.

I've started my own collection of IBS safe recipes in a word file on my computer. I have a index page with a hyperlink to the page with the recipe. If you have the latest version of word then it's easier to create a index page with page numbers that will update as you add more pages.

A lot of the recipes are culled from the index on this site. I also find that vegan sites are good for recipes.
