Icky cough

Hey everyone,
I have a wicked cold. I've been coughing like crazy. I read the ingredients in cough drops and they all seem to have sucralose which I know we cant have. Is there anything we can take for a bad cough that wont aggrivate our IBS? Thanks for your help!

Sorry about your cough. I don't have any suggestions but you seem to know alot about was is good or bad in medications and food. Do you know of any allergy medications that are okay to take? I will keep a look out for a good cough medicine. Thanks for your help. sweets88/IL

I have bad allergies too and claritin has always been fine for me. Although it didnt really do a whole lot for my allergies it didnt mess with my IBS either. Good luck! I think I am just gonna let my cold run its course.

I've found cough drops in the health food section of my grocery store - probably they are carried at the HFS as well. The brand is Organix, and they are sweetened with plain ol' sugar and honey. There are probably other brands out there as well.
It seems ridiculous to spend the extra money for organic cough drops, but I guess we do what we have to do!
A spoonful of honey dissolved in hot water may help as well.
