The doc gave me on some new vitimins today, in hope that these will help for prentals so I can start getting stuff in me. I am going to start taking them tomorrow. He said I can do 1/2 of one in the moring then one at lunch or super so maybe that will work I hope! The iron is so upsetting to my stomach though. I just hope these work out! I need good vibes and prayers that they do! Thanks everyone! Wish me luck!!! emmasmom ibs-c gas

Good luck and just an FYI when I took them (I'm IBS C) you need to up your fiber intake. The extra iron can be constipating! I also took 2 stool softners every night as well. ( which are safe during pregnancy too!) Also I took my vitamin right before bed and it seemed less upsetting to my tummy. Just some thoughts!

Sending {{Hugs}}and lots of prayers your way... It's always hard for me to start new meds of any type - I get apprehensive. But, just go into this believing it's going to be fine - and I'm in agreement with you that you will be fine and able to tolerate the vitamins. Remember to take them with food too.....

If the iron pills are bothering you, maybe you should try Floravit. It claims to be easy on your digestive system. I took for a while and didn't notice any difference tummy-wise. Although you have to drink it like a shot, as it can stain your teeth.

Do you take Acacia and if so can you up the dosage? Even another fiber supplement you could increase that amount. How about breakfast? Raisins are good for me after soluble fiber and oatmeal always helps me to go. Can you tolerate a small salad? Also drinking warm tea helps to get things moving for me as well. HTH

I started taking them on friday and so far so good. I had up my "if" to make sure the iron won't make me more c.I had to bm one was dry and other was fine. (sorry if to much info) So no c. Last night I went to bed feeling gassie but drunk a cup of fennel tea and just thought i would sleep it off. WRONG I woke up about 2 just full of gas from my chest to my stomach and don't know why. Please don't tell me its the vitimin. These just have to work I don't know what elese to do! I finley got back to sleep. I don't feel much better this moring I have a heat pad and more tea. Any advice? Also my monthley friend arrives in a few days. could that be it? Thanks everyone have good day! emmasmom ibs-c gas

Hormones always throw me out of whack.Suprisingly, when i can blame my cramping on my "friend" i can go so many more places. It is totally a mind thing with me(my ibs)You probably shouldn't drink or eat anything right before bed.If it's josling in your tummy and you lay down it might come right back up!I go through patches like that too.Just last week even. Try taking them with your largest meal. Then they just sorta don't get noticed by your body.
Try taking tums when gassy. It has calcium in it too so thats a bonus.
