I have always been a big fennel tea drinker (love it, love it, love it) but now that im pregnant, im super conscience of everything I put in my mouth and I just wanted to make sure that it is okay to drink fennel tea when you are pregnant. I asked my dr, but she just said.. 'whats fennel tea?'

According to the IBS Pregnancy glossary linked from the Diet Board: Quote:
Fennel is considered safe in small amounts during pregnancy, as long as only the seeds or fruit are used (the tea is made from the seeds). Fennel tea may actually help milk production in nursing mothers.
While yes, it's generally best to avoid herbal supplements while pregnant, I don't think a cup of fennel tea now and then is going to hurt. I actually showed my OB/GYN one of my boxes of the Yogi tea I drink ("Stomach Ease", which contains fennel), and she said it was okay. While it's still a personal decision you'll have to make, I don't think it will hurt.

I can see both sides...it's ok, or it's not ok.
My personal opinion. After your first trimester, I would think a mug of fennel tea every now and then should not hurt. I used to drink it when I was prego, and I have 2 very healthy boys. Just do what makes you feel comfortable.
Could you do a Google search? Maybe look up "pregnancy and fennel" or maybe just "pregnancy contraindications." That should tell you everything that's a NO NO for pregnant Moms.
Good luck!
