I had a tubal February 2007. I was supposed to have just the Essure coils placed in my tubes but due to scar tissue from my daughter's September 2006 C-section he was only able to place one coil and ended up "tying" the other tube. Ever since, my periods have been completely screwed up. One month I'll have 2 periods, another I'll have a really light 3 day period, but the past few months I've had very heavy and long periods. I'm also passing clots (sorry TMI). I had an internal ultra-sound 2 months ago and everything checked out ok. Also was checked for anemia and pregnancy and they were both negative. Has anyone had any similar experience?

Hey,
After my ectopic (tubal) in 2002 (wow! it's been 6 years!) my periods were haywire too. Sometimes nothing, sometimes really heavy for 10 days, then agin in two weeks. I put up with it for 6 months. Then my OB recommended the Mirena iud. It has slow release progesterone and lasts for 5 years. My periods are basically a bit of spotting every month, if at all. I recommend you get yourself looked at because irradical changes in your hormone levels could be causing you the flucuation in your periods. That's what my OB said anyways.
Best of luck!!

They checked my thyroid too and that came back normal. I will ask him about the Mirena and see what he thinks. Thank you
