So teachers will appreciate this... yesterday was one of those days. Woke up in pain...gas, gas, gas. Burnt my cereal, clothes didn't fit right, daughter was having clothing issues, and to top it off... hit my husband's car pulling out of the driveway. Got to schoool, couldn't park my car. Have one of those "parents" who sent in another note about making sure I challenge her kid, and then went to the dentist. Go figure...had a cavity. Should have just stayed in bed that or gone to Australia.

Ha! come to Australia... I'll tuck you in and look after you. My mum was one of those who always wrote combative notes to my teachers. Now I think back and think, god, they were just trying to do their job, and I think parents forget that their kid is only one of twenty or thirty you're dealing with. Teachers are definitely under-rated!
Hang in there.. hope you feel better..

As a fellow teacher, I totally understand! That was Monday for me -- absolutely nothing went right. People who say that us teachers have it easy should walk in our shoes for a day (or even just an hour). I sympathize and I hope you know that you are not alone! Oh, and that book is one of my absolute favorites, great way to use it as the title of your post

Thanks all!! Much better day today. No car crashes or bad notes. Made one of my babies cry, but she was smiling at the end of the day. Of course, so was I, but that's cause I was going home.
