This happened to me before. It turned out I simply missed my period for that month, even though I was on birth control... lame, I know! I went to my gyno because I was worried about being pregnant, but she said sometimes "this stuff just happens." You can take a preg test to be sure, but you may just be "weird" for this month. I hated the experience of having cramps with nothing to "show" for it!! I think I may have been extra stressed when this happened. There's a correlation between stress and hormones, I guess.

Hi, this has happened to me several times before. Granted, I should say that I have a hormonal imbalance and problems getting my period recently. However, about 4 months ago I had all the PMS symptoms (cramps, backache, nausea) but without the actual period -- so annoying! But its good to know that I'm not the only one...aren't we the lucky females who get to deal with menstral problems along with our IBS

You might take a pg test just to be sure. One of the signs of pregnancy is cramps; you could SWEAR that you're going to get your period any day, but you don't.
Let us know how it turns out!
