Yeah, it's red tea. I think I'd try the Emperor's Choice first, because that one I didn't sweeten. This new one with the lion, has a slight (very slight) vanilla flavor and I thought it tasted better with a little honey. So, if you don't want to have to worry about sweetening it, I'd go with Emperor's Choice.

But, either one you pick, you can't go wrong, because they're both great!

I tried a new way to drink tea!!
Warm up a cup of soy milk, put a apple flavor tea bag in along with a teaspoon of honey.
My kids actually enjoyed drinking to soy milk this way.

Ruchie, you're very kind. It's good to be here. I'm getting such great information and such help -- not to mention terrific support -- I wish I'd "come on line" a long time ago. Bev.

Bigelow makes an assorted sampler box which has some nice flavors like blueberry, lemon, orange and spice, cinnamon apple, camomile, and sweet dreams. I have found them to be pretty good. I think Celestial Seasonings makes a sample pack as well.

It really does taste like a combination of the peppermint and fennel - I love the licorice/anise flavor of the fennel, which may be why I love this tea. It does seem to help - I should drink a big cup right now because I just got back from a holiday cocktail party and while I tried to choose safe appetizers, I inadvertently ate a couple of things that I think had cheese in them. I am sure to pay tomorrow!! If you find the tea, I hope you like it!

Ruchie, how do you stay so cheerful and sweet while feeling so sick (and so sick of being sick)? You are a marvel! I am well, thanks for asking. The IBS has been under better control after completing the hypno program last summer. I still have to avoid certain foods but can eat more than I used to. I think I ate some bad choices tonight at a party, though, so I am worried about what tomorrow will bring! Holidays are hard to navigate with IBS - so many yummy foods to avoid and parties to be "good" at. I hope 2004 brings you a much brighter health picture - you deserve to feel well and to get back to a life that suits your sunny disposition! Happy Chanakuh (sp?) - hope you feel well enough to enjoy the holidays!

Andie,

It's great to be in touch again! Thanks for seeing me so positively...it helps me stay positive! The more we give...the more we get back....so positivity should just find it's way to you (although you don't seem to need it!)

I don't really have too many parties to go to that are a problem...but every Friday night and Saturday afternoon is Shabbos and the meals that go along with it. so that's tough. But I'mg etting more and more used to it. And now that I can't have sugar (candida...and possible hypoglycemia), it makes it kinda easier. Lotsa ppl understand the no-sugar thing!

I hope YOU enjoy your holidays!!! Stay strong...I know you will...and enjoy the festivities!

I'm glad the hypno worked so well for you....that's GREAT! Have you found any other things that have helped...any relaxation tips to share?

Take care...

Love,
Ruchie
