Tazo and Stash are both sold at most grocery stores... and almost always specialty and health food stores (like Whole Foods). You can also order them from their websites. Also, Tazo is available at Starbucks if you just want to try a cup... i recommend chai w/ sugar in the raw and soy milk and soy creamer. yummmyyy!

Here's the brand of chai I get: web page. I get it in the natural foods section of my local supermarket. Don't worry, the spices in chai aren't too strong. I hate things that are spicy, and I love the flavor of chai.

I've never had plain rooibos, but I've had Emperor's Choice by Celestial Seasonings. One of my favorites.
Emperor's Choice® Herb Tea Emperor's Choice Herb Tea combines treasures of ancient wisdom with special new discoveries. We start with red tea, a caffeine free tea made with the leaves of the rooibos bush, grown in the mountains of South Africa. Recent studies demonstrate that red tea is a powerful source of healthful antioxidants. Then we blend in ginseng, used for millennia to maintain the body's balance. Sweet and spicy flavors from oranges, cinnamon and other herbs create an enchanting deep flavor. Discover the goodness of herbal wisdom in every pleasing cup.

Thanks, Christianne! I just ordered my free sample. I might give that fennel a try too (the "tummy comfort" tea you refer to). Good post! Bev.

I ain't no tea drinker. I've only been off coffee for 3 days now, so I'm new at this tea stuff. What is in Rooibos that we need? I see this Emperor's Choice has no fennel, isn't it fennel we want? Remember, "fennel, fennel, fennel for gas & bloating!" So where do you get your fennel? Is it palatable? Can I mix it in coffee? (Just kidding, JUST KIDDING!) I'm going all the way down to the health food store tomorrow, prepared with a long list (with "No-Pudge" at the top, of course!), and I need to put fennel on the list. Is this something I'm gonna stir into hot water and gulp down as fast as possible, then follow with a strong Jack Daniels? (Again, JUST KIDDING!) Bev

You are so funny, I'm laughing to myself here at my computer. I'm no tea expert, but for now, I can tell you that fennel is seeds. You'll either put 1 tablespoon or two in boiling water and drink (after you've strained out the seeds) or you can find tea bags that contain fennel, and that's the easy way. Good luck with that. Sometimes fennel tastes bitter to me, and sometimes, I kinda like it. Either way, it can't hurt you. Peppermint and chamomile teas are also good for IBS, and I hear that licorice tea is good for digestion (I drink licorice spice tea by Stash). But tea in general tends to be good for overall health, so have fun finding teas that will make you happy! That will help keep your spirits up without the coffee! I think there is a chain of posts on teas that taste like coffee somewhere on one of the boards - you might want to do a search on that. Hope this helps!

I don't like fennel-it tastes like anise. I can't drink Chamomile or mint both of which I love, so I am also interested in any suggestions of mellow teas that taste good and are soothing. Thanks, Joan

I don't drink the rooibos for IBS stuff. I just like it cause it tastes good! But, it is healthy with the antioxidant stuff, so it does have good side effects.
Fennel is what you want for gas & bloating. I order mine from Heather. I also can't stand fennel plain, so I mix it with peppermint. If you like black licorice flavor, you probably wouldn't mind the taste. But, somehow I have a feeling you'll have a big ol' EW! to that! LOL
