Hi. I'm new here...been posting on the diet board for a few weeks...trying to get everything sorted out. I have many medical diagnoses, including neurological and cardiological. Adding on the gastrointestinal seems like one to many. I've had chronic head and back pain for 6 years, and the IBS symptoms started getting bad about 6 months ago. (I've had stomach problems since junior high, but nothing like this.) No wonder I deal with so much depression/anxiety/panic/etc. The depression has been particularly bad lately. But tonight, the hardest thing to deal with is the severe abdominal pain. I cheated and ate a brownie. It's my first time cheating so badly on the diet, and I'm definitely paying for it. I don't know what to do for the pain right now. I'll probably go to bed with a heating pad, which I have so many times before. I don't like tea at all, but I might just try it tonight.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm not always a downer...I promise.

Hello and welcome! I am sorry to hear about the pain, I too am a fellow chronic pain sufferer and it really wears on a person. Have you tried any alternative therapies like acupuncture?
