I just came across this site and it is fantastic. I have already done many things to make my life better. I know I will find much support from others.
I have been battling IBS for over 30 years (since I was around 13) but didn't know what I had for over 20 of those years. Basically my doctors would say the pain was in my head, or it was just a bad case of diarhea or I was susceptible to stomach viruses.
I am sure many of you have heard the same sort of things in your struggles. I just started seeing a doctor @ the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania and he has pretty much come to the conclusion I have a really bad case of IBS . So I started looking around on the web and came across this site. Well gotta go. Will look at more posts and chat later.

Hi Cyber, here another newbie. I can totally relate to the really bad case part. My doctor in the hospital told me he had never seen it even close to this bad so i completely feel for you! Hope we will both like it here and will learn so you and i will never feel pain like this again.
