Arg. I'm wide awake and can't get to sleep. Can anyone come over and knock me over my head with a large mallet?

Friday night also I didn't sleep at all. Not a good track record this week!

Oh gosh I know what you mean. This past week has been terrible for sleeping,, my bf got back from Marine bootcamp last Friday so we've been staying up til all hours texting and talking, partly because we missed each other so much, and partly cuz I've been so excited I couldn't sleep. He leaves tonight though So I'm sure I won't sleep again,, not because I'm excited though lol. Gosh its hard loving a man in the military

Is there some underlying issue cutting in to your sleep? Or is this good, old-fashioned insomnia?

I hope you conk out soon.

Ahhh, longing for sleep has become all to familiar to me tooo! The Propranolol I'm on causes insomnia! Every morning I am awake around 3 am and it's nearly impossible to go back to sleep. I'm tempted to take a sleeping pill to get a full nights sleep!

Hope you had some good REM sleep!!!

Oh man it's hard being awake when no one else is!! I just spent the whole night up when I wrote this last Friday, hoping that would knock me back into my sleep cycle...

I'll bet you'll guess what happened-- it didn't work, and I had stomach and back and joint pains because of it.

So now I'm taking the Magic Four: baclofen, benedryl, soma and ambien. I can basically knock myself out when I need to, but I still don't feel "sleepy." I'm going to ditch the ambien this weekend, tho... It's horribly addicting stuff and I don't want to go through ambien withdrawal symptoms again. Baad. There are much better things to be addicted to. Like pie.

New pain meds keep me awake. Work great for my pain though. Isn't it always the case that you get something that works great for something, but causes you to grow another head? Or makes your arms fall off. Or worse?

~nelly~ Two heads, no arms, and sleepless.

A half an hour of hypnotherapy equates to about two hours of restful sleep. We still need about 4 hours worth of REM sleep but maybe you can make up for some of the sleep lost with hypno. It doesn't matter what kind of hypno and long as your in that groovy trance.

I can send you a link to a good place to get hypno CDs at a very reasonable price. I don't think I am supposed to put the link on here. If you want the info, shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you the link.

(Oooh, the down low on the hypno...sounds so secretive )
