Lupus that has affected their bowel as well as skin?

Hello everyone. I am new to this site, but I would appreciate anyone's feed back. I have recently become very allergic to psyllium with increased asthma as well as a terrible back rash. I have started the Tummy Fibers and I am already thankful! I been in pain since two years of age. I was not diagnosed properly because I managed to take good care of myself. But, I now have arthritis as well as vasculitis. But, that's just getting older. Take care of yourselves and thank you.

My IBS was really bad when I was in a lupus flare. I was actually diagnosed with IBS first and after years of following other symptoms and a series of bloodtests the last couple of years, I was diagnosed with SLE in March. My rheumy thinks it's interesting how much my IBS has improved since I started taking Plaquenil, but I think it's a combo of getting my lupus in control, following Heather's diet, and managing stress.
I took Metamucil (psyllium) about ten or eleven years ago and, yes, that did cause me a lot more gas and loose stools. I'm not currently taking any SFS. It does sound like you were having a bad allergic reaction to the pysllium. Have those symptoms gone away since you switched to the acacia Tummy Fiber?
