I guess all health care systems have their problems. That's just awful she has to wait so long!!

I am really ticked the rheumy still hasn't called me. I have been googling like crazy and found out that yes, neuropathy can cause the bone damage I have seen on my x-rays! I called a neurologist referred to me by my internist and she had a cancellation this Thursday!

I have no idea if this is the answer to my medical mysteries but I sure hope its a step in the right direction. My symptoms sure do fit what I read. I faxed a request for my medical records and x-rays from the rheumy. Lets see if that prompts a phone call from her!

I'm feeling a bit tweaked today! I accidentally took a double dose of all my meds this morning! Read my bone head move of the day post! Ooops! Otherwise, the lycria is helping but the pain and swelling still gets really bad by later afternoon and awful by the evening. I am so happy to report that's is been over a week since I have had D!! In fact, I have had normal people poops almost everyday! I still have some bloating and cramps but nothing like before! Again, the change in my bowel habits last year can be attributed to autonomic neuropathy and the lycria would indeed help that!

I can't believe I can get in this Thursday!! I was expecting to wait a month or two. I am nervous and excited at the same time!

Best of luck with the tests and the referral! It's crucial to get every angle checked out!
