Hello Everyone,
I'm new and have been browsing and looking so far. I found that their is and IBS organization and they are trying to push the following:
Help explain the burden of living with IBS to your U.S. congressional representatives. Congress votes on funding for the NIH, which is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research.
Here is the link: http://www.iffgd.org/calltoaction.html
All you do is add your story to the letter that they already have set up. I figure if we can all get family and friends to do it maybe we can all benefit from some addtional help.
thanks

I just did mine. Not sure how much good it will do, considering where I live. Mine is probably the only letter my local officials will receive. But I sent it & that's the main thing. Hopefully if we all do it, it will help. People w/IBS get overlooked. Yes heart disease is serious, so is cancer, my mom had it. But some types of cancer can be treated & the patient leads a normal life. For people w/IBS a normal life isn't always possible. Just because it's not one of the "maintstream" illnesses doesn't mean it should be ignored. Thanks for finding this & letting us know about it!

Well I think all IBS patients have one thing in common for sure and that is HOPE. So lets hope it will atleast give congress and the senate a nudge. Thanks for doing it.
