I'm curious, too? Maybe the heat can't get to the right pain spot? Hmmm.

I remember my doctor saying the same thing, "oh well if you get D from the antibiotic then maybe you'll deliver sooner". I was about a week or two from my due date though. YOu have about 1 month don't ya? I agree with you though, the D pains are bad but know know what? When you get to about 2 or 3 days before your due date, I betcha you'll be saying, oh I hope I get D so the labor will progress sooner! I"m telling ya, when you get to the end, you don't care how or who gets that baby out I must have called my doctor's office a million times to see who was on call that day so that my favorite doctor would deliver my son and would you believe he never delivered either of them!!! I ended up liking both the docs that delivered them but I so wanted my fav one to be the doc there at the birth. Anyway, my point is, you'll be so focused on having the baby that all the pains that preceed it and the ones you have during it will be well worth it AND for some odd reason, you have a second child because you honestly forget(if you can believe it)what you go through being pregnant for nine months and the delivery. It's very weird!!!

I hope you are feeling good these days though It will soon be over before you know it. Hang in there!!!

It raises your body temp. It's particularly dangerous during the first trimester and could lead to miscarriage. Now at the end I don't think it's much of an issue. I know that you can have heat on your back for back pains and back labor. Of course you don't want to use a heating pad on your belly since the baby is right there. HTH

I know, my dr has not delivered any of my girls. I'm really hoping the midwife or my regular dr will deliver this time. The midwife is new and said as long as she doesn't have patients at the time, she will come in and deliver. I should be thankful for the dr that delivered Meike because I didn't end up with an emergency c-section but I still don't want him near me. He delivered Zoe too.
