Anyone else got the crude thats going around?

I thought I was going to luck out. Will has been sick for about 10 days now and I could feel myself fighting it last week but this Sunday it hit me like a ton of bricks. The whole stuffy, chest hurts, can't breath, coughing, more achey than usual, sneezy..the whole nine yards with explosive D for days on top of it! Ugh.
I called the rheumy to find out the protocol because of all the immune suppressant drugs I am on and the nurse said as long as its not an upper respiratory infection to continue as usual and let it run its course. Luckily, I don't feel as if its turned into a respiratory infection so cross your fingers than it just runs its course.
One of the most common side effects of the drugs I am on IS respiratory infection so I'm a bit worried but the nurse said they don't give antibiotics as a precaution or anything so, trying to drinks lots of fluids and get through my day at the office.
I do get to run out for an appt with the tmj specialist this afternoon. I get my new bite splint today. I can open my mouth a little over half way now and the pain is a bit less, so things are improving there.

I'm just now starting to get over a horrible cold that I have had for about 10 days. It was MISERABLE!! Stuffy nose and head/chest hurt/general achy all over/completely wiped out and coughing and sneezing constantly. It was not fun! My suggestion is LOTS of liquids and sleep as much as you can - really there isn't anything else you can do.
I'm just hoping that I have reached my quota now and won't get sick again this year

Well I am praying I don't get it especially so close to delivery but Mark had it last week and I am home today with Noah as he is running a fever. So I have been washing my hands so much they are cracking and I am going through so much hand lotion. Plus all my kids in the classroom are hacking all over the place. UgH!!! I hope you feel better soon Michele!!

I'm home with my son who has a fever. Looks like it's mild though...maybe it's a good thing that I got them flu shots this year! Hope all of you feel better soon!

I've been low-level sniffling and coughing and draggy for about a week, but nothing like what you've got. I'll keep my fingers crossed I've got a mild version of it and won't get the full-blown thing.
I'm glad your TMJ is easing up a little bit. How has your water therapy been going before this hit?

I never made it to water therapy! First, I waited because I started the mtx injections and didn't know how I was going to react, than I had a migraine that lasted three days and now I've got this silly cold!! I'm going to start after Thanksgiving though!
I actually feel a tab bit better then I did this morning, I hope I don't get the full blown thing either!! Wills been down over a week now!
I just got my new bit splint and feel like I'm talking funny but if it helps, I'm game!
