that my son just gradually stopped needing the pain meds, so he just weaned himself off of it---with no problem at all! Over the weekend, I kept asking him if he needed it, and he said no, that he just wanted some Advil, so that's what I gave him. He didn't even need the pain med when he went to physical therapy yesterday!

He is doing so much better, and I'm thrilled that he's sleeping well and seeming to do ok. He's off the continous passive motion machine and the ice machine/pack too, and right now, he's doing upper body weights at the fitness center in the neighborhood.

Boy, what an improvement over last week! Only 2 more weeks on crutches and he will be able to walk unassisted. They say he should be ready to return to the university the second week of January.
