And that after they wanted him to commit to a year there. He's only been there since June or July. So there goes half our income. He's had so much trouble since we moved to Oregon with work. He hasn't been able to find a decent job and when he finally does, this happens. We're gonna head back down to Cali soon, I think. Too much trouble here with work and all kinds of other things I don't even want to go into.
He interviewed a week ago for a great job down in the Bay area (San Francisco) and he says the interview went perfectly. So please send good thoughts and well wishes because if he doesn't get this job, we're in a real pickle.
Oi, life. It just keeps picking on us.

Sorry to hear about the lay off, but in Sweetwater County, Wyoming alone it is estimated that we are short 1000 workers and the state & business's have held job fairs throughout parts of the country. I know there were big ones held in Michigan & Arizona. Companies that wanted to build here have put that on hold because of the lack of workers and full time employess.
Summers are nice here, and the winters are bitter. High Rocky Mountain plains.
What kind of business / profession is your husband in?

He has a BS in Forensic Science. It's basically a chemistry degree.

Teaching or criminal investigation ? Both county and city are looking for help in their police departments. And some of the soda ash plants, and mines are looking for some folks with degrees. And the oil drillers are crying for help.
