stool consistency

Does anyone know the right consistency for healthy stools? Should they be large and formed , should it be like toothpaste and just come out, should they float, sink? I figured that someone might know? Thanks, Debbie, IBS C

Healthy stools should be long, smooth and slightly soft. An "s" shape, long log shape or banana shape is typical.

I read once that stools sink if one gets enough fiber, but I don't know for sure if that's true or not.
