ive been noticing lately when i have a BM.. theyve been yellowish.. and that scares me lol.. does anyone know what it could be?? i thought maybe it was a cold in my system but it comes and goes alot.. i dont get it.

Do you have allergies? When I'm having allergy/sinus issues, I often get discolored mucous in my BMs. Mucousy BMs are quite typical for IBSers, I think because we don't break down the mucous all the way. If that's all it is there's nothing to worry about... although if it continues it certainly couldn't hurt to mention it to your doc. That's what they're there for.

I get this too! After having gone 5-6 times it starts coming out nothing but burning, yellow bile!   I think it just gets to the point that there is really nothing left to come out except for tummy acid and bile.

im scared to mention things to my dr cause i dont want to have to have a colonoscopy lol.. my dr only had me do stool samples then said i have ibs.. so im assuming thats all it is.. it just had me a lil worried

you really should get the colonoscopy to be sure, a man i knew who went for his found out he had colong cancer, luckily caught now an dnot later, it is important to rul eout any other causes of bowel issues before you go with ibs.
