I am sorry my post was so long- I was trying to relay how I got to this point. I have had problems with my stomach ever since the latter of two very bad auto accidents in 1982- now I have ended up in the past five months taking three medications together which can have side effects of muscle spasms. I was taking them orally but did not get the spasms until I had the Phenergan and Reglan through injection. The spasms went down my neck, back and into my left side and I could feel the spasms in my intestines. That was 7 weeks ago and I have had excruiating pain ever since in that same area- lower left abdomen with gurgling, loose stools and a (excuse me) sometimes "pow" of air with some loose stool. I was diagnosed with IBS previously but never had this much pain- I was horrified when I wrote that post- I guess I was freaking out- I still cannot walk upright. I did not know if anyone had problems with these drugs like this, and how can I stop this pain because it feels like something is ripping in there. Thanks and again, sorry.

No need to be sorry at all sweetie! Just when writing on the boards its much easier to read if you break the post up into smaller paragraphs. I have medical issues that cause problems with my eyes and its hard to read when its one long paragraph!

I understand about medications causing extreme gi distress. I just went against the doctors and stopped a drug because of the same reason!

If your tummy is still way upset, you could try a couple of things. A heating pad and fennel tea is a good place to start. You can try some heavy duty pain meds, like Vicodin for a day or two to try and break the pain cycle. Sometimes, a tranquilizer like Xanax will also help. Be very careful of what you eat until it calms down! I hope your starting to feel better!
