So what do you do when laxatives, and mag citrate don't work? And the doctors just keep telling me to drink lots of water? I haven't had much of 'constipation ' problem like this with my IBS, know everything about the big 'D', but not this.

i'd still treat it as part of your ibs - it takes a while to fix. laxatives can aggravate ibs pretty badly - i'm surprised that as someone prone to D they didn't completely mess with your system. water's important, so's exercize. and make sure you're incorporating enough fiber, soluble and insoluble, into your diet.

This was actually my first time using laxatives, I figured they'd mess me up pretty bad, but my doctor told me to take them anyway. The hell of it is, I thought the alfredo the other night, and the ice cream ( i'm lactose int. ) would also mess me, has my whole ( just can't resist myself  ). Anywho, it's like my whole GI tract has completely shut down. Makes no sense to me at all.
