What a Week ..

First, a few days ago my grandson (the one who still calls his granny frequently) left for Navy Boot Camp, happy for him but will miss him a bunch. Then yesterday we had to have our 15 yr old dog put to sleep. Boy, I can't wait for this run of tears to quit!!

Why does all the emotional stuff happen all at once? I just don't get why life can't even things out. Maybe it's because when we get lumped with tragedy or sadness, or even wistfulness, then there's a lull and we get lumped with happiness.
I personally am waiting for my happiness lump. It's been about a year. 
Hang in there, and my adive(that I should heed too) is this too shall pass.

I am so sorry that you have had such a difficult week. I know you will miss your grandson but you must be so proud of him.
I am very sorry to hear about your dog. A few years ago I had to put my 10 year old dog down and it was so sad. They become part of your family and it is so hard to let them go.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts everyone. Right now I am waiting for this darn storm that is headed for my part of FL. We are on the Aucilla river just outside Perry. Hope everyone else on this path makes out ok.

Hi Franny Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I know what it's like to say goodbye to your very best friend in the whole world. I had to do it last year with my little dog of 15 yrs. I got him at 6wks.. It was sooooo hard to do. I too live in Fla. Melbourne. I have a step daughter in Navarre and they are always in bad weather. I hope this year is not as bad as last year for hurricanes, but it doesn't look good for us. Take care, & God bless
