Michele,

My goodness! That completely sucks! I'm sorry to hear about the new "itis," and all that pain! I hope some of that inflammation goes down so you can have some more good days!

Hugs!

Well, the pain is slowly decreasing. However, my IBS is going into overdrive! I'm usually C but my bowels have been in mass evacuation mode for three days now!

The steroids are making my joints feel better and has taken a lot of the swelling down. My hands are still swollen but I think there is permanent damage there now so I'm not sure if thats ever going to go away. Basically, from my neck to my crouch hurts! I haven't even been able to were a tank with the built in scaffolding (shelf bra) so I've just been wearing regular tanks and really baggy shirts! It still hurts to breath deeply, stretch, put my arms over my head and I haven't been able to eat much due to the gastritis pain. Bonus side effect of not eating-I lost 9 pounds!!!!

I'm really tired and generally weak and my skin is a yellowish color, I think thats from the steroids. I've been cutting back on the pain pills because I've just been a total ZOMBIE but I'm still having to take a couple of regular Vicodin's and a couple of Norco's a day on top of the rest of the pharmacy I take! I've been coming in late and/or leaving the office early because I just can't get through a full day. If I had a regular job, I'd have taken off on sick leave but thats not an option as there isn't anyone else to work. So, I'm just trying to get through the days right now!

Hopefully the Imuran that I'll be starting next week well be the last piece of the puzzle to get me onto the road of recovery!

you're atleast in a little less pain than you were...am sorry about the ibs though...you need to eat and keep your tummy stable...whats your safest thing to have?? Snack on lots of it...take care of your tummy!

And as for the weight loss...I know I probably shouldnt say this...and I know its obviously for bad reasons you've lost weight...but I always find that when Im sick and I do...atleast something good has come out of being poorly for so long...you know what I mean??

Will keeping sending happy tummy thoughts your way!!
