well done girly - stay strong and keep smiling - it must be a big step but you seem strong and brave and v.determined. Glad you told his mum, I`d have done the same.

Well, good for you, Shannon. Just take it a step (and a day!) at a time! Just keep venting here!

and be the bigger, better person for it.. and heh- his family raised him to somehow be this way.. and if he is truly dating a 17 year old and you want full custody and child support in most states (and probably where you are) his publicly dating someone that young will go against him in a custody battle big time!

I am so proud of you, honey! You do not deserve this crap and yet you are handling it with dignity and your head held high. You did absolutely nothing wrong, so be proud and focus on you and Kayleigh. My therapist has said often that anger can be a good thing. Sadness does nothing, whereas anger can sometimes help you get to where you want to go. So don't feel bad about feeling angry. It gives you energy to do what you have to.
Love and smooches,
A.

by the time we do get custody all sorted out then it's not as big a deal-she'll be 18... And he's still telling me, and all his coworkers that they are just friends and that he hasn't done anything with her. Only the two of them know the truth, though in his defense he did wait for a long time to get things heated with me, so maybe he'll wait till she's 18 then he'll have done nothing wrong, I guess. Still, pretty pathetic.
