if this link doen'st work let me know...

this was the boyfriend of a gal i worked with, her due date was a week before mine, she got her c section on monday. Her boyfriend had decided that he ddint' love her, and iddn't want to be with her anymore. (he decided this yesterday) so he went to the hospital and told her his news, she said to go pack his things (they lived together at her moms' house -who i also work with- and go) when he got to their house, her mom (who i work with) said, if you don't want to be in their lives, then get out, he said that though he didn't want to be in their life, his mom would watch the baby whenever they wanted. the mom in turn said "no way, your house is full of cocroaches" which set him off i guess...(to give a little history..he got out of jail earlier this year for violating a restraining order another guy had on him and threatening the guy...then they just found out yesterday that he was storing guns in the house...and he's not allowed to have firearms, being out of jail and with a restraining order) so the gal's boyfriend went back to the hospital where she and the baby were....blew up...punched her 3 times in the face giving her a black eye, and once in the stomach where she just had a c-section...now she has to have a cat scan to see if he internally damaged her. durring this time, she was pushing the baby to the other side of the room so he wouldn't hurt the baby. she didn't know he had a gun on him either...after he left he opened fire at security, and hit one gaurd's pant leg, which brushed his pants..didn't hit the man, luckily. he got away. the hospital went onto lock down...and no one could come or go. (the gal i work with also had a roommate in her recovery room who witnessed the whole thing..how tragic??) later as the article says, they found him, after he texted the gal i work with that he was going to go to her house and kill her family. Luckily police caught up...apparently he hit a cop, they opened fire (with good reason) and shot and killed him, the other boy in the car was his younger brother, who was a minor. they questioned him i guess. sadly earlier this year his brother was also killed...which obviously the family isn't in a good situation...but all of this has got me really upset...

my daughter's father lost it when she was born, but wasn't THAT bad..this guy takes the cake...i can't stop thinking about it, and how horrible it all is. i kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it all...and how scary and horrible it all is...

Oh, that's so awful. I can't imagine what everyone involved is going through - your friend, her family, and also the dead boy's family.

I've heard of new fathers 'losing it' after the birth, but this is crazy. What could possibly have been going through his mind?

Very scary, and very sad, an absolutely tragic and wasteful end to a life. I really hope your friend does ok, and isn't too damaged by what he did to her physically. As for mentally, I can't even begin to comprehend how she feels.

Don't really know what else to say

tell me about it, she isn't a close friend of mine, but her and her mother i talk to alot at work, they had a baby shower together at work, they'd thrown for us. but no new mom should have to go through that....and she's only 18 years old...waht do you tell your child when he's older? yeah your dad was shot and killed 2 days after you were born?? really really a sad story....
