Finally got them back, the disposable camera didn't take very good pics but I was afraid to run around with my digital one - next time I'll know beteter! If you don't know, St. Augustine Florida is the oldest city in the country, dates back 50 years before the pilgrims ever set foot on Plymouth Rock. I can't wait to take the kids one day, there was so much to learn there.

Here we are on the beach...

And at the winery (where I bought a bottle of yummy cream sherry, mmmmmm...... I thought everything else was gross) (think I need to learn to stop sitting in the sun with sunglasses on???? geez)

This was taken inside a hotel that looks exactly as it did when it was built in the 1800's, it is now a 4 diamond hotel, it was AMAZINGLY gorgeous! I'm a sucker for historic stuff...

This castle was a 19 bedroom "summer home" 2 centureis ago...

This church was gorgeous too - it felt almost like being in Europe or something, everything looked like a castle!

Those are just a few - it is such a photogenic place.

You know, everything is relative. I guess to others this will be like "what's the big deal" but I'm still getting used to the fact that I've gained 20 lbs since I was sickest not all that long ago... of course I know I'm soooooo much healthier and SOOOOOOO much happier but it gets in your head every once in a while, to compare. For you to say "tiny", I'm like, "oh-kay..." Reality check I suppose. I'm at my happiest and most at peace, that is for SURE, thank the Lord for that!!

I totally understand...I am 5'8" and wear a 6 or 8 (mostly 8's). 20 pounds ago when I was anorexic and the IBS was bad 6's hung on me so I feel like a lard now but am still thinner than most of the women my age.

As tall as you are (or is your friend really short? ), you must have an awful time finding pants that are long enough. I know I do...

Great pictures!!

Did you read my post to you from before you left? Well I think I mentioned going to that winery you went to. That was a fun little place - definitely didn't expect to find one there, but I guess I forget that there are a fair share of wineries here in Florida.

And I think that picture of you in the hotel is the place I stayed - Casa Monica I think it was??

I'm so glad you had such a good time! I loved it there and it's nice to find such historic stuff in our state. You should definitely take the kids - I bet they'd love the big fort!

Thanks again for sharing and I'm so glad you had such a good time!! You deserved it!

The winery was fun, they had an art show and jazz playing up on the roof, it was neat.

I think that WAS the name of that place! Cool! We actually stayed at the Golf resort, my friend has a timeshare situation. It was niiiiiiiice, but neither of us play a lick of golf so in that sense it was sort of a waste.

YES yes yes, hiking up the stirrup pants because mine were too short for my legs, plus I had no figure back then so they were always falling down!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Has there EVER been a less flattering trend??? sheesh...

Too funny... I'm precooking casseroles for NEXT week's beach trip, came back and had a good laugh here, thanks!

I made a super easy lasagna recipe...not IBS safe but great for pre-cooking meals. E-mail me if you want the recipe!

The laughs were great tonight weren't they?

YOu are just too darn cute Michelle! I am so jealous of your trip! I have been longing for a vacation. Hubby and I need to get away one more time before this second baby comes. I want to go to the beach. We rented a cottage this summer on a lake for a week and i can not wait!!! Looks like you had a good time!
