OK, everyone mentioned amatriptyline caused breast growth. I never believed them until yesterday when I got fitted for a bra. 36D. I'm in shock.
They were really nice in the bra department. I went to Hechts and they ushered me in the back to measure me. I told them there was some mistake because I'd been a 34B for the last decade. Tho I'd noticed my one 34C bra fit me better lately...
They measured twice. No mistake! I've got Ds! 36 Ds no less!
Now you'd think this'd make me happy. I was APPALLED. They pulled out bras that looked like mattresses. With the TRIPLE clip in the back. I shakedly took them in the back to try them on. They fit like medical devices, like some bizarre back brace.
They actually asked me if I wanted a minimizer. I explained I wasn't even wearing a bra that day. I don't need them lifted and seperated! Just strap them down!!
I finally settled on a black lycra one, underwire, no padding. I'm still bemused that most of the D bras I looked at actually come with padding. To my B sisters: I will take careful notes and report back from the Dark side. How will people treat me with my new chest? Is there quality of life to be found in D-hood? I shall find out.

P.S. (I called my BF from the store to break the news he's dating a boob model. I told him my new size (Ds!!!) and he said thoughtfully, "You're extremely datable." Men, gotta love 'em.)

Nelly, you're adorable. And yes, the BF is a typical male. "The bigger, the better!"
Minimizers are all I've ever known. Can I hear it for "Double D"!? I saw a plastic surgeon once, in an effort to get a breast reduction. He took a black marking pen and marked up my boobs (actually, it wasn't all that unpleasant.....) then took a picture and sent it to my insurance company in an effort to get them to cover at least part of the cost. They declined. Crapola.
The best part of big boobies is running. I used to love to run, but the boobs got in the way. I ended up wearing TWO exercise bras and running with my arms folded in front of me. Then my boobs would ache for hours afterwards.
Welcome to My World! BTW, don't bother buying those sexy bras; they won't hold 'em up, and anything without underwires can't handle the load!
Hechts eh? Gosh, I forgot about that store! I used to love to shop there. Hechts and Woodies. Also Lord & Taylor. Are they still around?

Nelly, that's hilarious and amazing! WOW! I didn't know this was a side effect of amitriptyline.
Hmm...I've been on it for a month or two, but I haven't noticed anything. I'm an A, so I wouldn't be opposed to a visit from the Boobie Fairy.

"Luke, I am your father" Just kidding. Being busty isn't all that bad! I'm a little person with a set of "knockers". I'm 5'1" and weigh 127 lbs with a 34 D - DD chest. The fiance really likes them!! Although they are a pain, especially going to the gym and the pool - like Bevvy said, 2 bras or a tensor bandage to hold you in! I actually lost a size, lucky me!! When I dropped from 172 lbs to 130 I went from 36 F to 36DD, and I'm down to the 34 D now, comfortably.

Sorry to make light of your situation, but as an A, I'd settle for a 1/2 dose.

When I got married in 97 I was a 34B, just like you. Now, I'm a very voluptuous 36DD! Yikes! I hate having boobs! I would give anything for my B's anyday. Applause for going to a reputable store and getting fitted properly. There's nothing worse than an ill fitted bra on big boobs. You feel like you're in a cage. Since breastfeeding, I have been very anti-bra. I only wear them when I go out. Yikes! I think I need to be refitted.... Anyhoo, enjoy 'em if you can! Your next task on the dark side.... Try and find a bathing suit that will fit. Then let me know where to get one!

ha ha ha, you're always so hilarious Nelly!!!
I understand COMPLETELY though. My birth control pill caused my boobs to go from a C to a freakin' DD!!! No joke! And as you know, I'm a shorty pants and am on the slimer size so they look even bigger. UGH!
My friend that was visitng from Canada even commented on how big thry were. Plus the larger they are the more some men STARE! Just today I was walking in our neighbourhood with Tommy and two men were BLATANTLY obvious in staring at my boobs. We were both pretty p@ssed off!
Enjoy them, but are they permanent or temporary?
Gotcha on the bra's. At a D cup, they no long look "cute" and look like "over the shoulder-boulder-holders". LOL!
I am positive you will notice new glares from men to your chest. Oh joy.

Suddenly it all makes sense! I always had tiny boobs, like a 34A/B. When I got pregnant they went to a C, but then back down to a B afterwards. Over the last 12 months, whilst I've been on amitriptylene I've put on about a stone and a half in weight (knew that was a side effect), but have also gone up to a large D cup - and now I know why!
Thanks for sharing Nelly - really helped me understand what's happened! No complaints though really, hated being tiny, though know what you mean about bras - I tend to shop online here in the UK to get nice D sized bras, as the ones in the shops are pretty gross.
Good luck with your new boobs!

And button-up shirts too - if they fit you everywhere else they gape over the boobs, and if they're big enough for the boobs they swamp the rest of you - and you look like you have your husband/boyfriends bra on!! If anyone finds one that fits just right I'd be very interested to hear!
