I have noticed that the last two times that I have gotten a manicure that my hangnails or little pieces of skin are almost worse than they were before getting my nails done.
I never got these when I had acrylic nails and I never expected to get them when I got a manicure. Does this happen to you? I don't care for fringy skin.

I've had that happen to me, and the only cause I could think of is that the manicurist was a little too rough when working on your cuticles. I wouldn't go back to a place that it happened to you, and when you get one next time, make sure to point out that you have sensitive cuticles and you don't want her to go too rough.

so the next manicure I went to a different place that has a wonderful reutation and the same thing happened. I wonder if it isn't because I don't get manicures very often that my cuticles are going into shock? I think I will only get one once a month and see if that helps. I am not very hard on my hand....

Have you tried using a cuticle cream in between manicures? Burt's Bees makes a really good one. I put it on at night right before I go to bed. It seems to help.
