And I need prayers! I have IC and a good pain med might help me be able to eat more foods again. It will also help with other girly things that are painful!

I WAS on Neurontin for anxiety but it didn't really do too much so I was taken off of it. But it helped the pain a LOT...so I'm hoping the doc will try it again AND the neurontin might help my anxiety now that I'm on new bipolar meds. So I'm really hopeful this is the route the doc will want to take.

But as always I'm not the doc and I might not know what's best...these are just my thoughts (and now I'm rambling LOL) But I just wanted to share and have you all sending prayers my way.

Thanks in advance *hugs*

Please tell me exactly what happens!! I need to go to a pain specialist, but I'm afraid of not being taken seriously!! It is a major point of anxiety for me, as few doctors have ever prescribed me pain meds because of how I look (young) and general disbelief on their part regarding fibro and IBS pain. I am CERTAIN that if I were 50 with the SAME symptoms, I'd be believed. It's kept me from being under the care of a pain specialist, which is where I believe I really belong.

You're doing the right hting looking for answers!!! You deserve to be out of pain and I'm crossing my fingers and my toes that this doctor will give you a medication combination that's going to work for you!

She presribed the Neurontin and I start it tonight...woohooo! This might mena I can eat more foods soon (it should anyweay) and it should help with the pain overall. She also prescribed me a pain med (can't remember what it's called?) that I will be taking as needed.

If you want any more info. Nel you have my e-mail addy *hugs*
