Yep, my boy got second place out of 11 dogs. Second only because he wouldn't stay for very long while I walked away! He loves me SO much that he just has to be next to me all the time! LOL!!

Here he is with his party/graduation bow!

Thanks Nelly! I sure think he is a little cutie and everyone told me they were awful dogs to train but he is so smart, I haven't had any problems at all!

How awesome!! I can totally picture him in class too. How cute! What a proud mama you must be!

We are picking up Oscar tonight for the weekend which is nice, usually we get him Friday night. He has improved so much in just a month so I feel way better about things, and I can't wait to see him!

My girls aren't going to be very happy with me tomorrow. They are going to the "beauty shop" to get shaved so they will be all skinny scrawny like you have seen. They are so fluffy now...but summer is coming and in Houston it is positively brutal so it's mean to keep them long.

I love love love love Harley, so don't take this the wrong way, but has anyone ever told you he looks like an Ewok?

No offense! Everyone, even me, agrees he looks like an ewok! I wouldn't change it for the world though!

We want to let Harley's coat grow out as long as possible. If he gets too hot, then of course we will cut it but we really want to see what he looks like with the full coat first!

His has a tremendous under bite!!! I think its adorable and adds character! It is typical of this breed but his is a bit extreme! Anyone know a good doggie orthodontist? Definitely joking!

Thanks! I think he's a cutie!

I'm glad Oscar is behaving better! Just try to work with him as much as possible and he will eventually "get it!"

Hey Michele...you gotta love that bow Well done Harley! You must be very proud! My old family dog flunked out of his training class...but thankfully it wasn't because he was a terror or anything...it was just he had so many health problems and was so lazy he wouldn't participate! He was really good at the sit and stay part though!

He's just so cute with his bow and all! I just love it! I wish I could put a bow in Dakota's hair. He'd eat the stinkin thing I'm afraid!

I can't wait to start obedience classes with him. I'm going to wait though until he's fixed because I don't want to have to start then stop for him to recover from the surgery so I'm just gonna wait till closer to the summer. I hope he does as well as Harley!

BTW, when you register with AKC you usually pick 3 names to name your dog. Well the names we picked for him were "Dakota Harley Bear". (Harley because my hubby wanted to name him Harley, plus he wants a real Harley(motorcycle).

On our drive up to DC somehow we got talking about dogs and I went on and on about Harley and how he comes to work with you and is the most darling thing. DH is a huge Star Wars fan so when I showed him the picture he immediately said, "OMW! He looks just like an ewok with a hair bow!" Soooooooo cute - congrats on 2nd place!

Oh I think you should let Harleys hair grow out. I would rather my dogs be furry but it is way too hot and humid to let them "go long" in the summer. They look goofy right now but sooooo cute!

Michele,

He is absolutely adorable! I am so happy that he did well in school; mine is a doggie school dropout. To much of a diva.

What breed is your doggie? I figured since he goes everywhere with me, he needed to know how to mind his manners!

Yeah, we should have just caled him "ewok" because that is exactly what he looks like! Minus the hair bow, of course! LOL!!

Harley doesn't seem to be bothered by the bows at all! If I get it in too tight, he will rub his head on the floor trying to loosen it though! He will actually paw at his face when is hair is "down" so we always keep it pulled back for him!

Harley didn't miss a beat when he got fixed! I did it on a Friday, so he could have the weekend to recover at home before having to go anywhere. He was groggy the first day but then was up chasing kitty like nothing happened! He went to doggie class that Tuesday and was fine!
