Kree, please let us know how you're doing. We miss you. How's the Prozac going? I hope it's helping you get through the rest of this school year.

I third this question. I hope you've been off on Spring Break for the past week, but please do let us know how you're doing.

Hi ladies!! Thanks so much for thinking of me. I'm sorry I haven't been on the boards much lately. Work has continued to be very stressful, and any special ed teacher can tell you that this time of year is very busy with meetings about our students' programs for next year... but the good news is, I'm doing SO much better!! The Prozac was a total flop. The horrible acid reflux it gave me didn't go away, so I ended up stopping that and trying Lexapro instead. I've been on it for about a month and it's been giving me my life back! I had absolutely no side effects, and within the week I noticed myself having a more positive attitude about things. I've been able to deal with my issues at work SO much better. Plus, as an added bonus, my IBS has majorly improved! I never thought I'd find a drug that would do that after over 4 years. But I'm actually having normal BMs almost every day, with no cramping like I always got before. It's the most amazing feeling! I love Lexapro!!

Plus the weight on my shoulders at work has been reduced. The teachers' union has gotten involved, and they're all behind me 100%. They say my principal hasn't followed the procedures he's required by the state to follow AT ALL, and they're fighting to make sure I get a chance to prove myself. I don't plan on going back there next year no matter what, but at I just want a decent recommendation after I go. It's just so nice to know I have all these people behind me that agree the district has failed me.

Anyway, to make a long story short, the weather is beautiful and I feel like the Lexapro has given me my life back. I have so much more energy and actually want to get out and exercise after being a slug all winter. Thank you all so much for thinking of me. I hope you're all having a fantastic spring!

I was just getting ready to bump this up again today!!!

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well. I was really worried when you "disappeared"! Turns out it was for good reasons! Although, I miss ya on the boards.

So, maybe I'll have to ask my doctor about Lexapro again. I tried it once and it didn't help so he put me on Prozac. But I don't think Prozac is doing such a hot job for me.

I can't believe Lexapro relieved your C! I thought it might be making mine worse when I was taking it.

So, what's up for next year with school? Are you thinking about staying now?

And, while I'm asking questions, I've been dying to know what you decided about moving to the smaller, less expensive apartment or if you stayed put! I know it's been a while, but I've always wondered!

Hi Kree, That's quite the turn around! Very glad to hear that
things are starting to go your way. Say, didn't you go to one
of the SUNY's as an undergrad? I think good recommendations
from a SUNY would far outweigh whatever that pinhead principal
has to say. Good to hear your IBS is getting better too. -Bob
