So far (day 2) I had some runny D in the morning, and a bad taste in my mouth all day. Tastes like morning breath.

When I am on my teacher's plan-which I don't have the right to be on cause I'm a lowly sub right now-they paid for absolutely EVERYTHING, meds, ambulance, dentist etc...

But now is different.on Dh's plan doctor's visits(reg doctors and referrals to specialists) are always free even when I'm not on group healthcare...and I pay $20 a pill for diflucan, but on Dh's plan get about $18 of that back. Eventually. My asthma meds are $85 and $15 a month, so I stocked up on them when i was on contract and should be good till may. Phew. This is one reasdon I can't be bothered to go on IBS meds. too bloody expensive! And that's also why I'm trying Vitamin D for my SAD(it's working well and I can tell when it's out of the system, BTW-and our winter JJUST arrived, so we're in for 2 more months of snow SAD)

I am very glad that neither doctor nor hospital costs us a cent. And things we DO pay full price on Dh's plan are things like chiropractors, naturopaths, and physiotherapists. All specialists are free. god knows I'm relieved after all the tubes shoved into my guts in the last year!

By the way, my Dh is coming to DC next month. Big Outback convention there. partay!!(they also own the Carraba's and DH wants to bring them to Canada in the next few years-we'll see-he's just a 28 year old punk restaurant partner, LOL!)I chose to pass this year, as we did do the banff thing, and Last year they wernt to Disneyworld. I'm holding out for Hawaii!LOL!

i ahve been on diflucan before for Y.Is and it makes a world of difference. I think i should actually take it every six months now to rid myself of extra yeasat. i know I have systemic yeast issues, but the probiotics also help keep it in check. Do you take acidophilus or any of that? you can get it cheap, and I found the regular store brand is working as well as the expensive ones did for me.

Once you're cleaned up, start on them and then you can take breaks and now I'm at the point of taking two of them once a week to repopulate the good bacteria. It helps the whole system.

Here's to Nelly feeling VERY MUCH BETTER!

Hey Nelly,

I took Diflucan for a while a couple years ago for chronic yeast infections after a round of nasty antibiotics. I never had any side effects that I can recall. I hope you feel better soon

It's Day Three of the Diflucan, and I'm getting this odd side effect. There's this anal leakage issue I didn't see advertised in their propoganda I'd like to address with their higher ups. Sort of gummy, pale pink stuff, that normally would have me screaming blood, except it's the same strawberry color as the pills themselves. Not bright or dark blood color, just pinkish and gummy. I'm only taking one a day, so is this what I can expect for the rest of March? No pain, just color and stringy gummy stuff. (Sorry if tmi)

??

Hey, your DH will be in my neck of the woods! Too bad you're not going with, I could give you Nelly's Tour of DC!!

Yes, Americans pay too much for drugs. They should have medication tourism in Canada!! I'd gladly join up for 3 days hotel+airfare, plus a trip to the pharmacist!

Haha...never TMI! Have you told your doctor? I would, even though it's probably nothing. Perhaps it's just some of the gunk being cleaned out of your system? Yeast can also be prevelant in the anus.

YOU are the BEST! I'll be sure to get you something nice from DC and have your DH mule it back for me! Maybe Ed Kennedy's unlisted phone number on the back of a bar napkin? You know, something classically DC. LOL!
