I just got done with a nectorine, & though, "ya know, I never would've thought to eat this if I didn't have IBS." All the fruits & veggies I eat, I never would have enjoyed so much.

So, What's yours?......

I'm cheating and naming two:
Ground turkey
Soy milk - but I'm picky. 8th Continent Lite is my soycow of choice.

Who would ever have thought I'd like soy "ice cream"? Not ME! And soy milk? NEVER! Okay, so the soy cheese is just okay, but at least it's cheese. I love the stuff, and I miss it. Now that I'm stable, I'm able to have one slice of American cheese on my burger, and the other night I actually had a grilled cheese samich. What a TREAT! However, I know that's my limit -- ONE slice, and only on occasion.

I could never go back to dairy. Soy Dream is with me to stay. It's a good thing.

Banana bread - I made it for the first time ever when I saw the recipe in Heather's cookbook.

Chocolate Peppermint Stick flavored Lunas Bars. They're the perfect snack.

Naan bread, avacados, dried fruit, mangos, hummus, silk soy milk, chocolate almond milk (fantastic for hot choc.), Bengal Spice Tea, it goes on and on. Some times when I'm having a great day and eating something I hadn't tried before I am almost glad I have IBS. I eat so much better and there are so many things I probably wouldn't have tried.

I used to dispise white bread, but now three bites of the brown stuff and I cramp up. I had no idea how sick it was making me, and life is muuuch happier without it!So yay white bread!

Oh, wait, no it's Starbuck's Tazo Chai Tea lattes. If it wasn't for IBS I'd never know how stoned coffee made me, how stoned even regular black tea made me, and how wonderful Tazo Chai tea is! Yeah, that's my fave.

I get just dizzy/nauseated/CRANKY off a cup of coffee now-it's for use only in comatose situations, and I get SEVERELY C with it, or regular black tea.

Thank ya for the Chai. And no Chai even comes close to the Tazo. Why I don't have stock in it I don't know.

Unsweetened applesauce. Used to despise it as a kid, I love it now.

soy milk
mangoes
whole/rolled oats oatmeal
beets

and an unexpected one... spinach! I know... I always hated it, but through IBS I discovered it pureed, which I love!

and i've always loved applesauce, but IBS has given me a renewed love/obsession for it, lol

great thread!

Not that i eat much of it...I try to avoid all dairy but can tolerate cheddar cheese most of the time in small quantities.

but anyhow, milk actually makes me gag because it tastes like COWS! Yet burgers and steak are fine. Duh.

I can't tolerate much dairy, only one little slice of American cheese melted between two slices of whole wheat bread, or one little slice on a BevvyBurger. I wouldn't DARE try to drink a glass of real milk! YIKES!

I've had a little success with ice cream, but only a teeny bit, and only if I take a few Lactaid beforehand. It's not worth it, though, 'cause soy "ice cream" is sooooo yummy!

No, I don't eat enough dairy to detect a "cow" taste (whatever that is), but I sure do like dead cow! Gigi turned me on to ribeye steaks, and I can't get enough of 'em. I know it's because of 25 years of abstinence. So, yeah, I guess you could say I like the taste of cow!

The chocolate almond milk is sooo good. I heat it on the stove for a few minutes and pour it in a mug and, my goodness, that is some dang fine hot chocolate. I think I'll have some right now.

Don't drink or have no desire to drink it any more. Cheese on the other hand, I still love.

I still however, miss wheat bread and still try to sneak some in. I was always the one telling my kids how much better wheat bread was for you. I can't tell you how thrilled they are that we eat a lot more white now. I have to admit, I like it too, especially sour dough.
