That sounds like a lot of fun (I love Banff) Enjoy yourselves and what a sweet hubbie you have! I'm wishing you a wonderful birthday and I hope all of your thirties go great for you.

I know I'm one to talk, I just turned 23, but between the fibro and the fact that my little brothers, who I helped raise, are a junior and a senior in high school, I feel a bit old as well. But, I hope you have an awesome time with your hubby, he sounds like a real sweetheart!

Haha nope, I was raised here in centrist-cental-Canada, and yup, we packed up everything (in our VW van no less!) and drove the 4 days to Banff every year! But that was all part of the fun... and part of the tradition... my mom's family had been doing it since the 60s!
My partner grew up in Edmonton though and he's NEVER BEEN to Banff! Well, you know where WE'RE headed once we get some money in the bank... lol

I'm a perfectionist, too, so just try to remember that it's about the journey, not the destination! (Easier said than done, I know.)
I think there are a few of us all around the same age. Like Sinead, I will also be 30 in May!

Happy Birthday, Shannon.
The thirties are much better than the twenties--I guess there's more of a perspective.

I'm in sherwood Park, juuuuuust a half click outside of Edmonton. I grew up in E town. Glad to be out, but glad to be near still!

Melissa, I understand where you're coming from too. I helped raise my sister as well. it was hard work, and it's tough to know where the "mom" ends and the "sister" begins.
But i had a wonderful time with the greatest hubby ever!!
