Guess who I just ran into while shopping at Garden Ridge? Fantasia Barrino!
I was sitting there in the lawn and garden section, waiting on my husband to meet me there, when these 2 black women and a little girl who was abour 3-4 years old walked up. I thought to myself, "I must have American Idol on my brain because I could've sworn that was Fantasia Barrino."
Then I remembered that she did buy a house here after she won on American Idol several years ago, and at that time, her daughter was about 2 years old.
She walked off, and I turned to the sales clerk and said, "Was that Fantasia Barrino or was I imagining that?" He laughed and said, "Yes, it was. I heard the woman call her Fantasia."
What was so funny was I was just sitting there wishing my husband would hurry and get there so we could make it home in time to watch American Idol.

I would get such a kick out of something like that! My Mum works with a girl who is married to one of the "stars" of a very low rate Irish soap and I am always so interested to hear all about her etc, even though she is so normal and her bubby is certainly not a glamourous celeb.
My brother is working reviewing movies for a website run by the national TV station here so I am constantly getting text messages from him that start "guess who is sitting in front of me?" or "guess who had thai green curry for lunch (in the work canteen)"- He sees all the national newsreaders etc everyday he is working there so he's completely immune to them but sometimes he gets really starstruck- the best one so far has been Colin Farrell (at a screening for Irish press of his new movie) but I am sooo jealous!
