I need something that will stay in my system all day while I get my cognative therapy and go up to the therapeutic dose of Zoloft

I've taken it twice in the past 6 months! I take it for panic attacks connected with BAD Ibs attacks. It helps both - but knocks me out for a day afterwards. Dan

I take regular Xanax, I have 5mg pills and I usually break them in half for day use or they really make me tired. It really depends on my level of stress or anxiety in a given day. When I first lost the twins, I was taking a whole 5mg 4-5 times a day!!  I've weaned down to usually just half a tablet once or twice a day. Yesterday was rough so I ended up taking 2 whole tablets throughout the day. Thats what I like about the Xanax, you can adjust the dose to what you need. I know it can be addictive but as long as I don't take more than I need, I've never had a problem. I've taken it on and off for a couple of years now and sometimes I go many months without any at all!
