Bleieve it or not, the doctor thinks that i'm on a pill that's too HIGH for me. He says that makes sense because all my tests came back fine, my IBS hasn't been a problem, and my off-time of the pill has seen me FINE. So I'm on Alesse for now. Wish me luck. I'm happy. And if all else fails, what can happen? a baby? always a blessing.

Glad to hear that it is nothing serious. So many bad things have been going on lately, it's good to hear that this is "just a pill".

I was on ortho-novum a hundred years ago.... and I had a period every other week. It was miserable...thank goodness this was an easy "diagnosis"!

Well, lets hope thats all it was!!! The higher dose pills made me sick as well and I never got pregnant on the lower dose ones, I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Aha! I knew it! I can't take estrogen based pills because this is what happens to me too, I just bleed every day of the month! I'm glad you're trying the lower estrogen pill. If that doesn't work either, there's always depo which I adore. No more estrogen for me! Between the headaches and blood, no wonder it was so effective for me as b/c. I didn't want to be touched!! OK, I'll get off my soapbox!

I had spotting with Alesse, but every woman's body is different. I'm happy that all your results were normal!

Good luck!

I don't take Alesse, but I take another low dose pill, but I did a lot of research before deciding what to take. From the research I did the women who took Alesse didn't all gain weight, and they concluded that it depends on the person, and also if they continued with the same amount of physical activity as before.

I never gained weight on the pill. I mean, I did gain weight at one point, but it wasn't the pill's fault.

I noticed a decrease in sex drive when I was on it, though...

Good for you! We are all sexual beings and we need stimulation! I always feel better overall when I have a stable sex life! It's been A MONTH for me (Yikes!), so I'm making plans to tackle my BF when he comes home tonight, hee hee. Wish me luck!!
