Here's her message (sure is gorgeous, BL, looks like a 5 star hotel or something, wow!!!!!!)

Here are some interior pictures of my new house. I must've moved the camera because the cabinets look strange on the righthand side. They really look much better than the picture! The plastic cover is still on the dishwasher, but you get the idea.

I love the cherry island (a compromise since I couldn't decide on which cabinets to use), and I'm so glad I insisted they redo the tile on the backsplash. I love the way it turned out!

I've also included a shot of my dining room (the green walls), my master bath shower, and the front bathroom tile above the shower.

I'll send exterior pictures soon! Only 2 1/2 weeks til we move in! YEAH!

Thanks for posting these for me.

Only a fellow IBS-er would appreciate ONLY pix of (1) the kitchen, (2) the dining room, and (3) the BATHROOM! -- and not necessarily in that order! Who needs a living room, eh?

I love the dining room. Is it separate from the living room? Does the living room have wainscotting too? I see those bare windows, and I wanna make curtains for 'em! 2-1/2 weeks is not a lotta time, so ya better get goin' on 'em if you're gonna do the living room and bedrooms too.....

We built our home almost 2 years ago, and I'm STILL making curtains! Oy.

It's a fun time; ENJOY!

Beautiful house BL! I am jealous. We have been talking about moving but it's not in the money plan just yet. Maybe after Hubby's business has been going strong for a year we can think about it!!!

Thanks, ladies, for the comments, and thank you, Michelle, for posting the pictures. I don't know why in the kitchen photo, it looks like I have striped cabinets! They are such beautiful glazed cabinets, but the camera (or should I say, my unsteady hand,) blurred them.

And yes, Bev, I thought it was important to show the bathrooms since as an IBS'er, I know I will be spending a lot of time in there! HA!

The dining room is the first room you see when you walk in the front door. It's to the left of the foyer, and then 2 bedrooms and a bath, are on the right, tucked out of sight. Then in the middle corridor are the kitchen/breakfast area/and living rooms----all open to each other.

The master bedroom is at the back of the house, behind the living room. We each have our own big walk-in closet, and of course, the master bathroom.

Oh, and I almost forgot, we have a big screened porch next to the breakfast area! I have no furniture for it, so I will be shopping for that soon.

I am happy with all of the selections I made. The only thing I don't like is the paint color on the walls. We are going to repaint the walls in the kitchen/living room with a khaki color to bring out the glaze in the cabinets and offset the crown moulding in that area.

As for the window treatments, I'm not a curtain person. I am hoping (if I can afford it) to put up plantation shutters. If not those, I'll probably just go with woven wood blinds.

I have plenty of photos, if anyone wants to see more. I just didn't want to bore you with too many!

As soon as the grass is laid and the front door is painted (they had to switch it out for another one), I will share photos of the exterior. I love the exterior color!!!!

They actually looked distressed which I thought looked kinda neat. Are they distressed? That seems to be a popular look these days. Anyway, your house just looks so beautiful. I can remember when we bought our new house 6 years ago how updated it looked compared to the one we moved from, then I look at yours and think, MAN is our house outdated already only after 6 years. They come out with such great stuff all the time and you just can't keep up with the new trends!

LOVE the bathroom too. Isn't it funny how us IBS'rs love bathrooms I guess we spend a lot of time in them so they better darned well be pretty!

I'm sure the outside of the house will look just as good as the inside. Can't wait to see it. Oh and I think your color choices on the walls are fine. I wouldn't change them.
Post all the pics you want! I personally won't get bored of them. Heck I watch the real estate channel here that shows houses for sale in our area just to get ideas as to how other people do to decorate!

I know you are so proud of it and are so ready to move in.
I have been thinking about distressing my kitchen cabinets to keep from having to paint them, these pictures have me convinced! You did a great job designing them!!! You are so smart!! CAn't wait to see what you do with the windows and such!! congrats honey!!!!!
